WARRINGTON Hospital has been rated the best in the north west for training in radiology.

The hospital trust has beaten off 23 other sites to be named the top training provider for up and coming radiologists in the region by Health Education North West.

Trainee doctors at each trust were asked for their views on the guidance provided to them, with Warrington and Halton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust scoring full marks in overall experience.

Warrington Hospital’s clinical teaching, consultant supervision and active involvement of trainees in multi-disciplinary teams were cited as good practice by Health Education North West’s head of radiology Dr Alistair Craig.

He added: “This is a superb reflection on the quality of experience at Warrington and Halton for radiology trainees – well done to all.”
