A MAN has been arrested after a petrol station in Penketh was robbed at knifepoint last night.
Murco Service Station on Liverpool Road was robbed by a man brandishing a kitchen knife at around 9.30pm on Monday, December 5.
The man entered the petrol station wearing a black balaclava, a dark-coloured coat and dark clothing, approached the till area and made and unsuccessful attempt to steal money from the till.
He then stole alcohol and made off on foot in the direction of Liverpool Road.
Cheshire Police have arrested a man in connection to the incident and are not looking for any other suspects.
Anyone with information is urged to contact police on 101, quoting incident number 864 of December 5.
