A MAN armed with a weapon has raided a petrol station in Great Sankey.

The man struck at 7.15pm on Saturday, November 26, at the Liverpool Road garage and demanded money from the till. 

Police say he made off on foot after stealing cash and a quantity of cigarettes.

The suspect is described as being white, in his early twenties and 6ft.

He was wearing a black coat with the hood up, a black Adidas cap with three white straps and carrying a black hold-all.
