SIR Paul McCartney, Will.i.am and Peter Gabriel are among the kind-hearted stars who have donated their own signed hats to auction for Warrington BSL Signing Choir.

It’s your chance to win a piece of star memorabilia as Ricky Gervais’ cap, the Edge’s beanie and Russell Crowe’s baseball hat are all set to go under the hammer.

Jeanette Hughes from Warrington BSL helped organise the auction and said the choir has had many fantastic experiences signing in front of an audience of thousands for superstars like Pixie Lott and Peter Gabriel.

Although Jeanette is a big Genesis fan, she said of the hats: "I love all of them, there are too many to choose one favourite, not just Peter Gabriel’s!”

She said the stars who donated their headgear towards Monday’s auction are all aware of the importance of supporting deaf people at concerts and she hopes the event will raise deaf awareness in the community as well as helping the choir continue their unique work.

The auction takes place at the Midland Hotel in Manchester on Monday between 7.30pm and 9.30pm with a performance from the BSL choir.
