THREE-year-old Theo Clennon is set to arrive back in Warrington tomorrow, Thursday, having finished treatment on a tumour in the USA.

Residents raised an incredible £150,000 in order to send the town centre resident over the pond in order to have proton beam therapy.

Theo was given weeks to live earlier this year when he was diagnosed with what was thought to be an inoperable brain tumour.

But a second opinion by surgeons saw the tumour successfully removed, sparking a fundraising campaign to send Theo to the USA in order to have proton beam therapy, which was not available on the NHS for him.

Events including a gig by comedian Jason Manford, a walk around the town in fancy dress, rowathons, singathons and a charity car wash saw residents raise £150,000 for Theo, who jetted off to the Midwestern state of Oklahoma with his mum and nan in August.

Theo, who celebrated his third birthday while stateside, has now completed his treatment and will arrive home today, Thursday.

Meanwhile, fundraising for the youngster has continued with around £35,000 still needed to pay for the remainder of his medical bill.

A non-uniform and superhero dress up day on Friday, October 21, saw 14 primary schools and nurseries raise more than £1,000 for his cause.
