THE season may be over but it is still all systems go at The Halliwell Jones Stadium.

We had a frantic few weeks with the Challenge Cup, trip to Perpignan, Super 8s, semi-finals and the Grand Final to prepare for.

Now we are getting ready for membership for 2017 and our new season kit launch at the Christmas lights switch-on in Golden Square on November 10.

We had the seat deadline this week and the early bird deadline in early November.

For most fans, the trips to Wembley and the Grand Final were at the forefront of their mind so membership was not as important.

Especially compared to last year when by mid August, most fans were already looking forward to the next season.

So we have seen a massive increase in people signing up since the Grand Final and we are expecting a real rush now.

Away from that, discussions continue over our stadium naming rights and other commercial opportunities so it is a busy period.

On the field it is great to see that we have a good contingent of players in the England squad. It is good to know that with the Four Nations coming up, there will be plenty of good rugby league to enjoy this year.

The players won’t be back in pre-season training as early as last year because of our Super League season being longer. But some will be back in next month.

Our next game will be the traditional Christmas friendly at Widnes Vikings on December 27.

There will then be a trip to Tenerife for the players to enjoy warm weather training from January 17 until 27.

It is a little later this year because of an England training camp ahead of the World Cup in 2017.

We have games lined up away to Rochdale and at home to Huddersfield before Super League kicks off.

We have had a meeting this week about the World Club Series next year and we are hopeful of a game against Brisbane Broncos on February 18, 19 or 20.

We would have liked to have been in the club final but it still promises to be an exciting occasion.
