THE town’s libraries, Orford Jubilee Park and Birchwood Leisure Centre are just a handful of the facilities run by LiveWire. In our weekly Humans of Warrington, we get to know the staff who work behind the scenes.

Name: Neil Morley
Age: 37
Location: Great Sankey
Job: Senior LiveWire advisor

"I look after people who are referred to us through their GPs, practice nurses and health professionals.
"I help to devise safe exercise plans for them to follow.
"It may be that they need help because of a specific medical condition or injury.
"I have been with LiveWire since day one but have been working in the lifestyle service since 2006.
"The lifestyle service used to be run by the Primary Care Trust but when that disbanded it became a part of Warrington Borough Council and then LiveWire.
"Before that I worked as a personal trainer and in health clubs.
"With this job you meet people who really need support. People who have had a heart attack, a stroke, joint problems or mental health issues.
"It's not just the physical aspect. It's good for people to talk about what they have been through.
"It gives you job satisfaction when you see someone who has had a heart attack and you can help them through their rehabilitation.
"It's rewarding when you see where they started from and the progress they have made."
