RESIDENTS are being warned to expect congestion this weekend as Creamfields takes centre stage.
The council has issued residents with advice and a list of road closures ahead of the Daresbury festival, which begins tomorrow, Thursday, and runs until Sunday.
Road closures and restrictions will be in place for five days from tomorrow.
Daresbury Lane will be closed up to the boundary with Halton, except for access to Creamfields car parking facilities, while Chester Road will be closed at the junction with the Daresbury bypass.
Other roads to be hit by closures are Hobb Lane, from the junction with Chester Road, for 30 metres, Holly Hedge Lane, from the junction with Chester Road, for 30 metres, Old Chester Road, between Chester Road and Walton Lea Road, Park Lane, between Chester Road and Warrington Road, Underbridge Lane and Warrington Road, between Park Lane and Daresbury Lane.
Creamfields has set up a 24-hour residents' hotline for any issues or queries, including noise complaints, during the event.
