TWO men will be biking their way to Wembley for the Challenge Cup Final later this week in order to raise money for charity.

Town centre resident James Howes and Nathan March, of Leighton Buzzard, will be cycling from Warrington to Wembley in order to raise £800 for the Warrington Wolves Charitable Foundation and the Danny Jones Defibrillator Fund.

The pair will set off early on Thursday morning inspired by the success of Team GB at the Rio Olympics and are hoping to arrive at Wembley in time for the 3pm kick off as the Wire take on Hull FC.

James works for the foundation, while the Danny Jones Defibrillator Fund was set up in memory of the Keighley Cougars half who died after suffering a cardiac arrest during a League One game in May 2015.

The charity is now raising money to allow amateur and junior clubs to purchase their own defibrillators.

Warrington Wolves Charitable Foundation director Neil Kelly said: “The ethos of the Wolves Foundation is to inspire people to achieve their goals and by setting themselves such an ambitious challenge I have no doubt that their determination to succeed will be strengthened by the thoughts of the lives they will help.”
