WARRINGTON Borough Council (WBC) and Exova Warringtonfire have held 'positive discussions' following serious concerns from residents over the impact of emissions.
Council chief executive Steven Broomhead met Exova's managing director last Thursday after monitoring the situation closely.
The laboratory testing specialist, which has a site on Holmesfield Road in Howley, is situated close to the Riverside Point estate, on Farrell Street.
Residents have called for action after being blighted by discharge coming from the firm's building but WBC and Exova calmed fears following the latest talks.
In a joint statement they said: "Exova and WBC held positive discussions on a number of business and environmental matters.
"This included the concerns that have been expressed by residents.
"Exova will, in the near future, be issuing a communication to residents' homes with the support and involvement of WBC."
