THERE is still time to nominated that someone special ahead of a glittering night on the calendar in Warrington.

The Warrington Guardian Inspiration Awards returns for a fourth time this autumn to celebrate some of the town’s unsung heroes.

And entries have been flooding in already ahead of the September deadline.

Nominees will gather at The Halliwell Jones Stadium – the home of Warrington Wolves – on Thursday, November 3 to enjoy a two-course meal before prizes are handed out.

This year’s categories include teacher of the year, sportsman, contribution to the community, teenager, charity champion, charity of the year, act of courage, volunteer and our special inspiration lifetime achievement award.

This goes to a person or people who have made a special impact on Warrington.

So far winners of the prize have included Wendy and Colin Parry, founders of the Tim Parry Johnathan Ball Foundation for Peace, and Dave Thompson, who set up the Warrington Disability Partnership, this year’s charity of the year.
