TWO WARRINGTON-based care agencies have been rated good by the Care Quality Commission after inspections.

Macintyre Warrington on Mersey Street and Sankey Street-based Mayfield Homecare Services Limited both received positive reports from the CQC.

The former, which provides care and support services for adults and children with autism and learning or physical disabilities, was subjected to an unannounced inspection in early June.

A report into the service by the CQC said: “Staff had good relationships with people who used the service and were attentive to their needs and aspirations.

“People were respected and their individuality and diversity embraced – the service offered support to enable people to live busy and fulfilling lives.

“The service took account of people’s diverse needs and care plans were written in a person-centred way.

“There was a positive culture from the organisation and this was reflected in the registered manager’s leadership.”

Mayfield Homecare, which currently provides personal care to 98 residents, was also inspected in June.

The CQC’s report into the service said: “The registered managers and staff had developed caring relationships with the people they supported and their family, where appropriate, were involved in the planning and reviews of the care and support provided.

“People told us that they felt happy, safe and well cared for by the service – they told us they trusted the staff, who were kind and reliable.

“Support was provided in a way that promoted people’s dignity and respected their privacy – people received care that met their needs and took account of their preferences.”
