A HUGE gap has been left in the town centre after the multi-storey market car park was ripped apart and turned into rubble.
Contractors demolished the site, on Academy Way, to make way for the construction of the new car park as part of the £107 million regeneration project.
Here are a few pictures of how the site previously looked from the sky, the progression of the demolition job and how the new facility is set to shape up.
The aerial shots were captured shortly after the blue bridge, which linked the market to the car park, was pulled down.
