THE team at Bents Garden and Home have plenty to celebrate after being named best show feature at this year’s RHS Tatton Flower Show and named best destination garden centre in the north west by the Garden Centre Association.

The title of best destination centre in the north west comes following an inspection of garden centres throughout the country.

Bents recorded one of the top scores as well as picking up regional titles for best outdoor living retailer, best restaurant and the Barton Grange trophy for innovation and creativity.

It is also one of only three finalists from the north to be shortlisted for the best plant area in the UK, which will be announced following a further audit in the autumn.

Bents also attended the RHS Tatton Flower Show as part of the Cheshire Gardens of Distinction display.

Matthew Bent, managing director, said: “The GCA awards are extremely important within the industry as they are based purely on quality standards throughout the centre.

"This quality is not only in relation to products and departments, but also people and service, which makes it a very special award to win.

“We have a great team who work extremely hard and the title of best destination garden centre in the north west is a fantastic way to thank them for all their input.

"And to follow it up with an award at one of the country’s most popular horticultural shows is just the icing on the cake.”
