A FORMER Priestley College student has been given a second chance to appear on ITV2's Love Island.

Recruitment consultant Adam Jukes, who attended Penketh High School, missed out on the opportunity to be one on the contestants of the popular dating show earlier this month when viewers were asked to vote between him and 28-year-old Surrey carpenter Terry Walsh.

But tonight, Friday, Adam, 23, hopes his luck is set to change as he goes head-to-head with three other hopefuls to secure a permanent place on the programme.

TV presenter Caroline Flack will host a series of games aimed to test how suited the men are to life in the villa and to help the current islanders pick one boy to stay.

Speaking during the first round of votes, Adam said: “I am not your average geezer. I’m a cut above the rest. I have got the full package – the teeth, the hair, the tan, the charisma, the banter.

“I have met lots of girls but I’m still looking for the one.

“My success rate is off the scale and I’ve got no problem pulling birds.

“I want to get in that villa and show the girls exactly what they are missing – it’s me.”

Love Island follows the lives of unlucky-in-love hopefuls on their quest for the ultimate summer romance. Oh, and a £50,000 cash pot.

Over six weeks, their every move is recorded for our viewing pleasure.
