RESIDENTS are being asked to share their memories of the time Britpop giants Pulp and Supergrass came to town for the first V Festival.
This summer marks the 20th anniversary of the first V Festival, which was held in Victoria Park on August 4 1996 and attracted acts including Pulp, Supergrass and Cast.
Residents are being asked to share their stories and pictures of that and other historic festivals in the town as part of a new Culture Warrington exhibition.
Organisers are also on the lookout for festivals including Culture Fest, Cropover and Party in the Park in the early 00s as well as Warrington Music Festival, which has boasted headliners including the Happy Monday, Reverend and the Makers and Scouting for Girls.
Derek Dick, outreach and engagement manager at Culture Warrington, said: “We want to hear about your memories of all the wonderful events and celebrations that have taken place in Warrington.
“It may be of a parade, a street party or a member of your family taking part as the May Queen or even the Temperance Queen – all images are welcome, old and new.”
The exhibition will take place during Warrington Festival in September – if you’d like your stories or photos to be a part email museum@culturewarrington.org by August 12.
