RESIDENTS are being invited to join the council as it observes a one-minute silence today, Monday, to remember the victims of the Tunisia beach attack.
A national one-minute silence is being held at noon to mark the first anniversary of the atrocity.
Government buildings will observe it to pay respects to the British nationals who lost their lives and were affected by the attack in Sousse.
Staff at Warrington Borough Council buildings will join others around the country in observing the silence and the authority is inviting the public to also take part.
Mayor of Warrington Cllr Faisal Rashid said: "On the anniversary of this terrible event, it is important that we commemorate those who lost their lives and send out the message that they will not be forgotten.
"The national one-minute silence demonstrates our unity in standing together against acts of terrorism. We will always keep the victims of this atrocity, and their families, in our hearts."
