SCHOOLCHILDREN from across Padgate and Woolston proudly joined their teachers to walk up Padgate Lane for Padgate and Woolston Walking Day on Saturday.
The sun was shining and hundreds of residents lined the streets to watch the parade.
The schoolchildren were joined by brass bands and representatives from churches and brownie and scout groups.
The walkers marched to music from Warrington Brass Band and members of St Oswald's Church, Christ Church and St Peter's Church also joined the procession.
The newest members of Warrington Brass Band, 11-year-old Millie Stuart, seven-year-old Annie Stuart and 10-year-old Eliza Fox were excited to be walking with the band for the first time.
After the walkers had finished their route, many of the youngsters went to enjoy an ice cream in the sunshine.
