A FORMER Priestley College student has missed out on the chance of appearing on ITV2’s Love Island.

Recruitment consultant Adam Jukes, who attended Penketh High School, was revealed on last night’s show as one of two male hopefuls dreaming of a spot in the villa.

The 23-year-old was battling it out against 28-year-old Surrey carpenter Terry Walsh.

Speaking ahead of the public vote, Adam said: “I am not your average geezer. I’m a cut above the rest. I have got the full package – the teeth, the hair, the tan, the charisma, the banter.

“I have met lots of girls but I’m still looking for the one.

“My success rate is off the scale and I’ve got no problem pulling birds.

“I want to get in that villa and show the girls exactly what they are missing – it’s me.”

But in the final moments of the second show - which aired tonight at 9pm - it was revealed that Terry had won over viewers and could be seen making his entrance into the villa in the hope of finding love.

Love Island follows the lives of unlucky-in-love hopefuls on their quest for the ultimate summer romance. Oh, and a £50,000 cash pot.

Over six weeks, their every move is recorded for our viewing pleasure.
