MORE free swimming is being offered to the public this weekend to celebrate the reopening of the pool at Woolston Neighbourhood Hub.

The pool at Woolston was closed in November while a £1.1m revamp took place, but the project was hit with a series of delays.

Finally opening earlier this month with a day of free public swimming, Livewire is offering another chance to have a free dip this weekend to thank residents for their patience.

Tina Redford, Livewire’s neighbourhood and wellbeing manager for east Warrington, said: “Livewire recognise the value place on the facility within the community and we are pleased we have been able to work with the council and make the necessary investment to update the plant facilities.

“Now it is time to get people back in the pool and swimming for fitness and pleasure.”

Swimming will be free for customers all day on Sunday June 5 and between 1-3.3pm on Saturday June 4.

A number of craft activities in Woolston Library for half-term, including a treasure hunt, will also be taking place.
