A WOMAN was treated for smoke inhalation following a blaze on Sycamore Lane in Great Sankey.

Crews were called at 7.55pm last night, Friday, to the fire involving the boiler but the flames were out when firefighters got there.

A Cheshire Fire spokesman added: "Firefighters used positive pressure ventilation to clear any smoke.

"One woman was suffering from smoke inhalation.

"Crews remained with the casualty until the arrival of the ambulance.

"Crews also fitted two new smoke alarms in the property as the existing one did not work and were on scene for approximately 40 minutes."
