A SUPPORT service for adults with learning disabilities is set to benefit from a new cabin to help its gardening scheme continue to grow.
George Woolley from Universal Containers Services Ltd has donated the shelter to the garden project called New Routes at Victoria Park.
Sarah Tregilgas, senior learning support worker, said the generous donation will make a big difference to the scheme as MacIntyre Learning marks its 50th years in operation.
She said: "Having this amazing cabin will transform the sessions that MacIntyre provide.
"It will keep us warm in the winter and will provide much needed shelter from the wind and the rain as well as shade in the summer from the sunshine – if we get any.
"It is also fully accessible for wheelchairs."
The cabin will be used throughout the year – in the summer for growing flowers and vegetables and in the winter to make Christmas wreaths.
