POLICE have struck at a number of suspected drug dens in the town as part of the force's continued crackdown on the supply of illegal substances.
Officers raided a house on North View in Great Sankey on Wednesday morning.
A man and a woman, both aged 24, were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply drugs after cannabis was discovered at the property.
Both suspects were taken into custody to be questioned but have been bailed pending further investigations.
Around 24 hours later, a cannabis farm was uncovered at a property on Sutton Street in Howley on Thursday morning.
A total of 29 cannabis plants were seized by police after officers descended on the property.
Two people, aged 38 and 39, were arrested on suspicion of producing cannabis.
Both suspects were detained and taken into custody to be questioned but have since been bailed pending a forensic examination.
