I HAVE recently returned to Warrington after several years working in London.
The shopping centre now rivals London or anywhere else as there is so much choice.
However while having a walk around Bank Park, I was taken aback by the monstrosity of the hub blighting Bank Park – it completely ruins it.
Building in a park would never be allowed in London.
On the outskirts of the town, visiting the much-improved Sankey Valley Park I was told that the council intends to build another of these ghastly hubs on the site of the old transport club.
Families say that views across Sankey Valley Park will also be blotted out.
This is also a haven for foxes, badgers and hedgehogs and they will be disturbed if this is built.
Let’s keep this area for the wildlife and not another council hub blighting the area.
