A TALENTED schoolgirl, who attends a stage school in Warrington, is preparing for a TV performance that could change her life.

Beau Dermott, who is a member of StagePro Academy in the town centre, moved the nation with her extraordinary operatic voice on Britain’s Got Talent earlier this year.

The 12-year-old is set to perform tonight, Wednesday after judge Amanda Holden’s selected her for her Golden Buzzer.

In an exclusive interview, her dad, Ian, 52, said: “She is just a normal little kid from Widnes with an incredible voice.

“It is without doubt a gift. You can’t hold this talent back.

“Once people hear her sing they want more. They are fascinated and say: ‘How the hell has a 12-year-old sung that?’”

Beau has been overwhelmed with messages from fans as far afield as Japan, Australia, France who are mesmerised by her powerful voice.

Even Indina Menzel, the original star of Wicked, was bowled over by her jaw-dropping rendition of Defying Gravity, saying her version of the signature song had produced ‘chills’.

Beau has spent weeks rehearsing at home while studying at The Hammond performing arts school in Chester.

Since her TV debut, film crews have captured her at home with her family and dog Bailey and she has been interviewed for magazines.

“Her big dream is to be in the West End or maybe Broadway,” added Ian.

“Being on TV hasn’t changed her. She likes girlie things and loves to do a bit of horse riding and play the piano.”

Winning Halton’s and Warrington Got Talent and entering talent shows has given her valuable experience, her dad added.

“It’s a great platform,” he said.

“There is absolutely no way she could have done this without having that preparation.

“The support she has received has been unbelievable.

“Beau is going to give it her all.

“Anyone who votes for her will be greatly appreciated. She will not let you down.”
