A SUSPECT has been arrested after police deployed resources to the town centre to track down a man who allegedly exposed himself at Centre Park.
Officers descended on the area near to Centre Park and Slutchers Lane following a recent sighting this morning.
Police had warned members of the public not to approach the man but to call 999.
The suspect has since been arrested on suspicion of exposure.
Officers released an image of a man yesterday, Monday, wanted in connection with an incident of flashing but this has been removed following the arrest.
An investigation was launched after two women reported a man exposing himself at Centre Park on Thursday, May 5, at 2.25pm.
Police say the two women were eating their lunch when they first saw a man wearing a striped jumper.
But moments later they saw him again.
He was naked and walking towards them wearing yellow-rimmed sunglasses.
He also appeared to be filming the women.
