WARRINGTON Borough Council will not produce a 'full and impartial analysis' of the economic impact of Britain's EU membership – as it believes 'enough' information has already been made public.
Labour's Warrington South constituency spokesman and Stockton Heath parish councillor Nick Bent called on council chief executive Steven Broomhead to ensure a report would be produced ahead of the June 23 referendum.
He said it was vital for the findings to be published to help the town have an 'informed debate'.
Similar economic impact assessments have been commissioned by Lancashire County Council, Liverpool City Council and Manchester City Council but concerns were raised over potential costs.
And Mr Broomhead has now confirmed the authority's decision.
He said: "We have carefully considered this and believe there is enough public information already out for people to make their own choice."
