THE team at Broudie Jackson Canter has issued a public thank you to the members of the jury who sat through years of evidence during the Hillsborough inquests.

History was made earlier last month when jurors ruled that 96 football fans were unlawfully killed during the Hillsborough disaster 27 years ago.

In an open letter, Elkan Abrahamson said: "Thank you to all 11 jurors.

"To the two in the minority we know you voted with your conscience and respect that.

"To the two who were discharged we know you gave up your time unstintingly and had good reasons for withdrawing.

"We thank you all for your commitment to the case and discharging your duty so diligently."
