A TOWN centre charity shop hopes to create a community hub for shoppers in the heart of the town.

As well as branching out to sell clothing and accessories, manager Marie Roberts, who took over Relate at Home on Bridge Street at Easter, wants to give shoppers more than they bargained for.

The 57-year-old, who has worked for charities for the past seven years, said: “Everyone is so busy with their lives they don’t often have the time to take a moment to reflect on life.

“So I have bought lots of candles for people to light in memory of a loved one.

“This shop is all about the community and helping those who need it.”

Relate has shops in Northwich and Warrington selling second-hand furniture and household goods.

All proceeds from the stores are used to provide services to people who need help with their relationships.
