WOLVES back Jack Johnson is set for an extended spell on the sidelines after suffering a fractured wrist.
The 20-year-old, who started on the wing in last week’s 48-16 win over Widnes, tweeted to say he would be having an operation tomorrow (Friday) before undergoing a period of rehabilitation.
Johnson’s absence is likely to open the door for Tom Lineham, who has sat out the last two games and appeared for partner club Rochdale last weekend, to reclaim his place on the Wolves’ right wing.
The young back joins the likes of Chris Sandow, Dec Patton and Brad Dwyer on the long-term injury list for Tony Smith’s men.
Gutted to have fractured my wrist, operation tomorrow to get it sorted then ready to join the rehab crew. Onwards & upwards👨👨👦👦👨👨👦👦
