A GREAT Sankey man ran the London Marathon dressed in a Ghostbusters costume to raise money for McMillan Cancer Support in the name of his terminally-ill brother-in-law.

Graham McEwan, 46, was recently told he is in the final stages of cancer and has just weeks to live, but his brother-in-law David Taylor brought a smile to the family’s faces when he ran the London Marathon in a handmade Ghostbusters suit and backpack on Sunday.

The 48-year-old completed the 26-mile run in five hours and 58 minutes.

Debbie McEwan, Graham’s wife, said: “As our McMillan nurses have helped us through physical, emotional and financial hardship in these past months we decided to raise money for them.

“David did very well – he has very sore blistered feet but he’s happy and he was on the TV.”
