LIFE-saving equipment has been donated to the Warrington Wolves Foundation's Young Trustees as part of a campaign launched in memory of seven-year-old Ciaran Geddes.
A new defibrillator has been presented to the foundation by the charity Ciaran's Cause which was launched following his tragic death in 2012.
The talented youngster died after suffering cardiac arrest while playing a football match with his friends.
Ciaran’s mum Marika set up the charity to provide schools and sports clubs with defibrillators.
The young trustees have undertaken a series of fundraising events in support of the charity.
Following the presentation, Cheryl Stewart, trustee from Ciaran’s Cause, said: "We would like to say a huge heartfelt thank you to Warrington Wolves Foundation's Young Trustees and to everyone who have raised a fantastic amount for the charity and also for increasing awareness of the lifesaving equipment."
Staff at The Halliwell Jones Stadium are currently embarking on a series of refresher workshops to equip staff and volunteers with the knowledge required to use the potentially life-saving equipment.
