ITALIAN restaurant Prezzo will open in the town centre tomorrow, Wednesday, creating 20 jobs in the town.

Plans for the eaterie on the site of the former Newlove FM station in the Old Fish Market first emerged in October.

Since being granted planning permission late last year, the building has been converted into a two-floor restaurant for 126 guests.

There will also be an outside seating area and private party space.

Prezzo will serve a range of pizza, pasta, salads, calzone, risotto and grills and there will also be a pizza oven which will be on view for guests to see their pizzas being prepared by the chefs.

Manager Justyna Oktaba said: “My staff and I are looking forward to opening our new restaurant.

“Prezzo will serve the highest quality food in comfortable and stylish surroundings.

“I am confident that it will prove popular and be a great addition to the social and eating out scene in Warrington.”

Prezzo first opened in 2000 in London and the chain now has more than 200 restaurants around the UK.

It will open from noon until 11pm.
