DURING February our Humans of Warrington feature will be taking on a fitness theme as we tell the stories behind the sports clubs who are getting people out in the fresh air and feeling active every day.
NAME: Gabby Gibbons
AGE: 16
LOCATION: Burtonwood
SPORTS CLUB: North Cheshire Clarion Juniors cycling club
"I was a rider for two years with the club but couldn't really start racing when my exams were about to start so now I volunteer instead.
"I help out with the sessions leading the warm ups and warm downs and getting the kids involved in games.
"Sometimes if anyone is struggling with the objective of a session I can take them to one side and explain it to them.
"I love doing it and watching them progress from their first session to getting them racing is great.
"My family has also ways been into cycling and we always used to watch the Tour de France so when my sister joined the club I wanted to be there too.
"Eventually I hope to be a fully qualified coach and help more people get into a sport that everyone can do."
