A DAUGHTER is appealing for people with dresses made by her mother to send pictures in for her 100th birthday celebrations.
Christine Brown’s mother, Mona Swindells, worked as a seamstress from her home on Eagle Mount, Stafford Road, during the 1940s, 50s and 60s.
“I can still remember a wedding dress that she made, like a princess. It really stuck in my mind,” said Christine.
Mona turns 100 on April 26 and Christine would like anyone who has memories of her mother making clothes and hats to get in touch.
