BRAVE youngsters experienced life 98 ft in the air at Stockton Heath Fire Station.
Children from one of the fire service's 'Respect' teams visited the site, on Ackers Road, to get a close up look at the hydraulic platform used by firefighters.
After being shown the impressive piece of equipment they got the chance to travel up on it, while enjoying a view of the town.
'Respect' is a nine-week programme for those aged 13 to 16 and is run by staff from the service.
It aims to build 'self-esteem and team-working skills'.
