A BUDDING teenage star of the airwaves has spent time working with BBC Radio 5.
Woolston student Earl Dubique-Ashton was recently invited to spent time on work experience at the station’s training centre in Evesham.
Earl, who studies media and electronics at Priestley College, learned how to construct a radio show during his time with the station.
He said: “Whenever I listen to the radio I am thinking about what is going on in the studio or when I am watching the news I notice if the journalist is not holding the microphone properly.”
The former Cardinal Newman Catholic High School pupil was one of just 10 people to be given a work placement at BBC Radio 5.
He has received an offer to study media production at the University of Lincoln put it keeping his career options open.
Earl added: “Some people like screenwriting or post-production, I like going out with a camera and capturing something on film.”
