A MAN armed with a knife raided a shop in Stockton Heath on Saturday night.
Police have launched an appeal for information after a man entered Bargain Booze on Cawdor Street at 9.55pm and brandished a weapon.
He then reached over the till and stole more than £100 before fleeing from the scene.
A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: "Just prior to the closing of the off licence the witness said a man got out of his car further down the road and walked into the store.
"While at the counter he produced a knife which was described as around 5ins.
"He reached over the counter into the till and took a quantity of cash before running off.
"Enquires are ongoing and no suspects have been identified at this stage."
The suspect was wearing a black Nike hooded-top with the brand's logo on the left side of the chest.
He wore a bright blue T-Shirt, black gloves, a brown or light grey beanie hat and a black scarf covering his face.
Anyone with information has been urged to call Cheshire Police on 101 citing incident number 885 of February 6 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
