AN ‘ADORED’ baby girl who died at the age of four months will be celebrated with an all-pink funeral.

Nova-Lily Brazendale died on January 27 aged just four months, but her short life will be remembered with a funeral that will see attendees dressed in pink while a fundraising page for her family has raised more than £2,000 only days after it was set.

The ‘gorgeous’ and ‘adored’ baby girl was young Whitecross couple Phil Brazendale and Jess Crozier’s first child.

Family friend Gemma Murray said: “She was an adored little girl – she was so tiny and gorgeous and it’s heart-breaking and it’s touched so many people.

Warrington Guardian:

“Jess saw the biggest rainbow on her way back from the hospital and that was a sign.

“She was small when she was born but she didn’t put weight on and they didn’t realise anything was wrong for a while.”

Padgate resident Gemma set up a fundraising page for Phil, 27, and Jess, 23, The page raised £2,000 in the two days after it was set up.

Gemma, the wife of boxer Martin Murray, said: “They’re close family friends and we spend every weekend with each other so we just wanted to do something to make it easier for them.

“It’s one of those dreadful things that you don’t think would ever happen to you and it touches a lot of people – you can’t even imagine what they’re going through.

“They were so happy and excited, it’s such a shame – they’ve got really good support from friends and family so hopefully they’ll get through it.

“Nova-Lily meant the world to her parents and it’s nice that so many people are thinking of them.

Warrington Guardian:

“It’s been really comforting for them that so many people have made the effort to donate in memory of their daughter.”

All are welcome at Nova-Lily’s funeral, which takes place at 10am at St Elphin’s Church on Tuesday February 16 – attendees are asked to wear pink or other bright colours.

The service will be followed by a burial at Fox Covert Cemetery in Appleton at 11am before a wake at Roosters Bar on Liverpool Road.

Gemma added: “It will be more of a celebration of her life.”
