THESE youngsters do not need the help of the Wizard of Oz to solve this crime.
Pupils at St Margaret's in Orford are unravelling the secrets behind the classic tale starting off by setting up a crime scene around the spot Dorothy's house fell on the Wicked Witch of the East.
Year three teacher Adam Lankertis said: "We're moving away from the traditional story and trying to find out who dropped the house on the witch by looking at witness statements from characters and newspaper reports publicising the murder.
"It all culminates next week with the children dressing up as the characters and entering a court room we're going to set up in the school hall where everyone will decide who did it.
"It's been really good fun and the children have loved it."
