THIS was the scene after a suspected fault in the engine compartment set this car alight.
Fire crews were called to the incident between junction 11 Birchwood and junction 12 Eccles on Friday at 9.05am.
One lane was closed while firefighters tackled the flames.
It is not thought anyone was injured.
