MEET the feline whose festive wish is to have a loving new home.

Staff at the Cats Protection's adoption centre in Padgate say Flump is one of their most affectionate cats but is in desperate need of new owners who can cope with his medical condition.

Flump is a 14-year-old diabetic cat and has been at the centre for 238 days after his hopes have been dashed four times when prospective owners changed their minds at the last minute.

He needs an owner who will be able to administer insulin injections at specific times every day and will also need regular veterinary check-ups.

On-going medication costs relating to the condition will be covered by Cats Protection and training to administer insulin will be given by the charity's shelter vet.

Anna Saillet, from Warrington adoption centre, said: “Just like people, diabetic cats can lead normal, happy lives provided they receive the care and attention they need.

“Flump will need an experienced owner who is willing to take on the responsibility of coping with his medical condition. In return, Flump will make the right person a wonderful pet.”
