MORLEY A's pursuit of Knutsford and District League champions Mobberley A stalled spectacularly on Thursday.

They lost 7-0 on their own table against the Division One table-toppers, leaving them 15 points adrift of top spot.

Mere B whitewashed relegation rivals Brook Street B to improve their survival chances, while third-bottom Brook Street A were outplayed at Tatton.

Mobberley B proved too strong for Wilmslow Cons A in the other match.

In Division Two, Wilmslow RBL and Mobberley C maintained their promotion challenge with victories against Wilmslow Cons B and Shaw Heath - who slip two places to fourth - respectively.

Mere A improved their position with a whitewash of Mobberley E, while Mobberley D saw off back-markers Mere C.
