They lost 7-0 on their own table against the Division One table-toppers, leaving them 15 points adrift of top spot.
Mere B whitewashed relegation rivals Brook Street B to improve their survival chances, while third-bottom Brook Street A were outplayed at Tatton.
Mobberley B proved too strong for Wilmslow Cons A in the other match.
In Division Two, Wilmslow RBL and Mobberley C maintained their promotion challenge with victories against Wilmslow Cons B and Shaw Heath - who slip two places to fourth - respectively.
Mere A improved their position with a whitewash of Mobberley E, while Mobberley D saw off back-markers Mere C.
The line-up for the last 16 of the Jay Trophy, the league's scratch singles knockout, is complete following wins for Paul Adkin, Mike Roylance, Bob Jones and Andy Long on Wednesday.
