Body discovered in allotment in Statham
THE body of a woman discovered in an allotment in Statham is not being treated as suspicious, a police spokesman has confirmed.
Police were called to the area off Star Lane at 4pm on Friday following reports of a sudden death.
The body of a 76-year-old woman was later discovered.
An investigation has been carried out and officers have confirmed there are no suspicious circumstances.
The woman's next of kin have been informed.
A report is currently being prepared for the coroner.
