A MAN arrested on suspicion of knocking down and killing a 58-year-old man in a suspected hit-and-run has been bailed again.

The 53-year-old suspect was requested to answer to police bail yesterday, Tuesday, but this has been extended while investigations continue.

He was arrested on the same day of the crash on suspicion of death by dangerous driving, failure to stop after an accident and failure to report an accident.

Steve Donoghue, aged 58, died in a suspected hit-and-run on Hallfields Road in the Orford in the early hours of Monday, August 10.

Steve, who had five children and five adopted children, was living in Orford at the time of the crash.

Following his death, his children paid tribute to their dad 'who would go out of his way to help others'.
