A WARRINGTON schoolteacher won the Chesterfield Marathon.
Caroline Hemming, who teaches at Cinnamon Brow Church of England Primary School, saw off her competition in the women's race to win by almost six minutes in a time of three hours 15 minutes and 58 seconds.
The 49-year-old former Spectrum Striders athlete, from Glazebrook, has run 125 marathons.
“I love running marathons. I started running in 1988 but I didn’t run my first marathon until 2006," she said.
“I decided to join the 100 marathon club and I’ve now run 125, including Blackpool and London.
“I came second in a marathon the other week and really wanted to come first this time, so thankfully I managed it!”
