A MAN has admitted causing thousands of pounds worth of damage following a rooftop protest.
Shaun David Adamson, of Sinclair Avenue, Orford, pleaded guilty to criminal damage and affray at Liverpool Crown Court today, Monday.
The 33-year-old was arrested following the protest on the roof of St Helens Town Hall on Saturday, September 19.
During the incident Adamson, who had a banner warning of 'the police state', was seen hurling tiles from the roof.
Adamson, who appeared via video link from HMP Liverpool, is expected to be sentenced next month.
It is estimated by St Helens Council that £11,000 worth of damage was caused to the Town Hall.
