FIRE crews spent two hours tackling a house fire in Appleton on Friday that they believed was started by a tortoise heat lamp.
They were called to Shepperton Close around 6.40pm to the fire in a bedroom if the detached home.
Two fire engines from Warrington, one from Stockton Heath and an aerial appliance from Chester were needed to fight the flames.
Nobody was injured and firefighters were at the house for two hours.
