THE first game of bowls at the new greens at Bank Park have been played.
Two new all-weather state-of-the-art, championship standard artificial greens were revealed last week as part of a £1 million investment in Bank Park.
There is also a pavilion opened by the Mayor of Warrington, Cllr Geoff Settle, with a specially organised crown green bowling match and celebration.
The annual bowling civic event now returns to its original location at the new facility.
Crown green bowls players from the Warrington Borough Council team and members of the Warrington and District Senior Bowls Association were invited to take part in an informal match against each other as part of the celebration.
