WARRINGTON Wolves fans could get their first look at Tom Lineham at The Halliwell Jones Stadium since the winger agreed to don primrose and blue next year.

Lineham visits with current club Hull FC, although the 22-year-old was not included in the black and white’s squad last time out.

The former York Knights man said he was dropped, not injured.

Tony Smith will be well aware of his capabilities if he is included, with Lineham tied top in Super League’s try-scoring charts with Wigan flyer Joe Burgess, both on 21.

In fact it was Lineham’s try that drew the Airlie Birds level five minutes from time the last time these sides met, after Wolves had opened up a 10-point lead at home.

Marc Sneyd dropped a last-minute goal to edge it 27-26 for the visitors in May, while Wolves had Gareth O’Brien to thank for a win two months earlier at the KC Stadium.

O’Brien’s drop goal and a first try in primrose and blue for Daryl Clark handed Wolves a 7-6 success on that freezing Friday in February.

So at one a apiece this season, the sides sit level on points in the Super 8s heading into Round 4.

However a play-offs place is no longer on the cards for either.

Hull were beaten by Challenge Cup champions Leeds Rhinos last time out, 22-36, while Wolves suffered a ‘nilling’ at the hands of Wigan.

But while Wolves face the prospect of a fifth successive defeat, Hull FC did get the better of last season’s Grand Final winners St Helens two rounds ago.
